Through all seasons Terre du Lac is an active community. Local organizations include the Homeowners
Association, the Bass Club, the Garden Club, Aerobics, the Women's Club, Arts & Crafts, political and
fraternal organizations and the country club to name a few. St. Francois County community service
organizations such as food banks, hospital aides, meals on wheels, etc. depend on Terre du Lac for
volunteers. Add the recreational activities, fishing, swimming, golf, hiking and boating and you will
find plenty to do.
5,200 Acres, 16 Lakes, 1 River

Terre du Lac is located on 5,200 acres of wooded hills and valleys in the foothills of the Ozarks. In
these valleys are 16 lakes varying in size from 3 to 110 acres. You can water ski on 4 of the large lakes.
Most other lakes are restricted to 10 horsepower engines or trolling motors for safety and fishing. There are
swimming beaches on two of the larger lakes. The Big River runs along the south side of Terre du Lac.
Fishing, floating and swimming are enjoyable there also. Extensive woodlands offer unique hiking and
exploring opportunities. The extensive system of paved roads is great for cycling and walking. The country
club offers swimming, golf and tennis.
